Our new Research & Records Room opens in August 2026! 🎉 Stay tuned for more info.

The mission of the Archives is to preserve the history of Snohomish—written, visual, and oral—and to share that history with anyone who is interested.

The Archives' collection includes photographs, account books, newspaper articles, early court records, obituaries, title abstracts, military service information, maps, school records and yearbooks, records of social organizations, business records, and scrapbooks. All items have been donated by various individuals and institutions, and while no category is entirely complete, they are being sorted, catalogued, and indexed for easy reference.

Due to the fragile nature of some materials, certain items require special handling. As such, the Archives are available to those who make prior arrangements, and our Archivists are happy to assist anyone researching specific topics.
